Help build what comes next

Business Advisory Council

Your experience can help a young person see a career, build a skill, and meet someone who opens a door. We are forming a diverse council of professionals to connect Bright Minds students with the working world.

A practical role

Help turn learning into opportunity.

The Council will advise and support the Institute’s experiential learning model, including Bright Minds Professional Academy. Members can contribute time, professional knowledge, connections, and resources in ways that fit their interests and availability.

01

Share your expertise

Mentor students, speak about your career, give feedback on their work, or help shape practical learning experiences.

02

Bring real work

Offer a business challenge, workplace visit, supervised project, internship, or paid opportunity students can learn from.

03

Open your network

Introduce students and the Institute to professionals, employers, community partners, and potential supporters.

04

Build program capacity

Help identify sponsorships, funding, equipment, and other resources that make meaningful student experiences possible.

The student outcome

Skills grow through relationships.

Students need people they can learn from, ask for advice, and turn to as they pursue a goal. We call this social capital: trusted relationships that help students navigate education, work, and adult life.

The Council will help students practice professional communication, build confidence, and develop those relationships through purposeful, supervised experiences.

Who we hope to meet

A range of careers. A shared interest in students.

We welcome current and retired professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders across industries. Finance, hospitality, healthcare, technology, skilled trades, the arts, and public service all bring useful perspectives.

You can participate as an individual or explore a role for your organization. We will discuss a practical contribution and expectations together. Expressing interest starts that conversation.

The Business Advisory Council is an advisory and engagement group. Board of Directors service is a separate role.
